  • J. Huntley Compton is passionately committed to ensuring that the East Caribbean islands remain a vibrant and influential flagship of environmental and economic sustainability for generations.
  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology & Demography, J.'s research interests include regional Caribbean food systems, Caribbean climate mobility forecasting and patterns, resource security for host Caribbean nations, and bilateral rural/coastal livelihood mobility agreements. She holds a B.M.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, focusing on International Political Science, World History, and Sociology, and an M.A. in Sustainable Int'l Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
  • Prior to her matriculation at Penn State, J. managed operations and provided consultation for various retail, nonprofit, and political organizations. These experiences further honed her interpersonal relationship skills and prepared her for a career dedicated to the multistakeholder ENgagement and collaboration for the advancement of her community and beyond.
